Raghavendra Keshavamurthy – We fondly called him as RK Bhai
Raghavendra Keshavamurthy, we fondly called him as RK Bhai. A wonderful person, member, friend, rider, son and a husband. It was just yesterday we were discussing about the upcoming One Ride and we are still yet to digest that you will no more be among us. Hope you find peace wherever you are.

It was in Jan 2017, when dear RK bhai joined us on his first ride with RT. Republic Day Ride. We hardly got to know each other since the numbers were huge. Next we met him on one of our meet at Ajantha and then rode to Thimmapaswamy Betta. We hardly knew then, that the next one year he will be with us in each and every ride with so much of enthusiasm and passion towards riding and travel. Joins in any of his two bikes, both fully equipped with fog lamps, holders, etc and with an orange reflective jacket and a warm pleasant smile always. Always first to insist on safety gears in group rides. Not just safety gears but good and branded safety gears for that matter.

Remembering one of his intro sitting around the camp fire at Regina Silva, how he got his first bike, his love for riding and how he makes time to visit temples, off beat places even being in a tech support job where he may have to report anytime 24/7. Not just participating in rides, thanks to his initiatives we visited many off beat forest places, he says ‘ he likes greenery as there is more oxygen π On RT being registered as an NGO in his words “As RT is now an NGO, Y cant v plan events like helping other NGOs like raising funds for oldage, orphanage, food, donation, wheelchairs, cloths, etc…” For sure bhai, we will do it!! Just couple of days, on the love of biking “Always, me n my wife prefer bike even it is an 2days or a week ride” Yes bhai, we saw that when you rode all alone along with your wife to join us as Coorg inspite of the engagements you had at home.

Most of the rides we are rest assured that he is coming and coming with a huge bags of tools. Our sweep rider always maybe in the last 25+ rides he did with us in last one year. A rider among us who will join by default and we can count on him in any situation. Hope members from other chapters remembered his intro near the pool side in Goa. “I joined RT an year back. Before I was into trekking, riding, photography and after joining I don’t know what I’m doing now, every other week I am riding and it became a huge family around“

Many of us from other states might not have met a proud Kannadiga like you where you always held up the Karnataka Flag high on your rides. The Karnataka Rajyotsava badges and flags you have given us have traveled across states. Same time not even once we felt you differentiated anyone of us from other states and treated all with the same love and affection. Respect. Remembering your last wish “Sure, but I could not ride, can I join as pillion” We will keep you in our memories as we ride on April 8th RK and as we dedicate this ride, as well as the day 27th March 2018, when you left us with all your memories. Thank you for making RT a better place with your presence, contribution and great times spent with us.

I had met him for couple of rides
He was a very helpful person and what I felt was about him was that he was riding as a team always rather than alone
